About the Training Course
European Regulations and Directives impacting on the electronics industry in recent years is fundamentally Producer Responsibility; placing the obligation for meeting sustainability issues firmly with the producer.
Although the WEEE and RoHS Directives have received most of the attention there is a wide range of additional emerging regulations and legislations that will have an even broader impact on industry. Important examples are the Energy using Products Directive and the REACH Regulations. Outside Europe the move towards greater sustainability in China, Korea and the United States can be seen in the introduction of related legislation.
It’s increasingly difficult for companies operating globally to keep up to date with the latest impacts and status of this legislation.
This one day course provides an overview of the current status of producer legislation. It details what the legislation means for producers and defines actions that companies need to take to avoid getting tangled in this raft of legislation. |
