TRAVIS 2.0 Software

Transmission Line Visualization Software
Software (CD ROM) and 154 page User's Manual
TRAVIS 2.0 Software cover

This new, more powerful version of TRAVIS lets you observe animated waveforms propagating back and forth in transmission lines between circuit elements in this general SPICE circuit simulator.
This allows one to obtain an intuitive understanding of why reflections occur in mis-terminated transmission lines. The enhanced schematic capture interface is now equipped with detachable tools bars, enhanced viewing capabilities, sophisticated formulas and plot options, zooming capability, full 32-bit support and more. This updated software offers you faster, more accurate simulations.

This software helps you solve signal integrity problems caused by long traces on printed circuit boards (PCB); identify the effects of terminations and diode clamps on reflections on PCBs or ICs; observe resonant behaviour in complicated transmission line networks; and determine the potential for electric and magnetic cross talk in coupled transmission lines. This updated version gives you the ability to change circuit elements and transmission line properties with ease. It supports both single and coupled transmission lines with full animation for both. All animations are viewable in both the time and frequency domain, and can be configured to view both current and voltage waveforms. What’s more, these waveforms can be split to observe separate forward and backward travelling waves. For coupled transmission line animation, you can observe real voltages and currents or modal voltages and currents!

System Requirements

80486 or newer processor and corresponding math coprocessor; 800 x 600 or greater resolution (1024 x 768 or greater strongly recommended); Windows 95 or later or Windows NT 3.51 or later; Minimum 8 MB of RAM, and 20 MB hard disk space.
